March 24, 2012:
So.... Little Mama isn't steady on her feet
today. She is dressed (sans socks and shoes) and has had breakfast. Relaxing in
the big chair... wants her socks and shoes. Frustrated b/c I won't get them. No
s&s = stationary in chair = no falls. Yes!
March 26, 2012:
Happy Hour! Juice...no wine. She is
unsteady enough w/o alcohol! Mood is better this p.m. ;)
March 28, 2012:
We were sent to ER to find out why my mom
is weak and unsteady on her feet:
So she goes down for a carotid doppler and
when she gets back, she asks....have you had a good day?....has your day been
busy? And... what have u been doing all day?... lol.. I am delighted she can
still ask!
We get to go home! Outpatient MRI to be
scheduled. CT scan showed my mom had a small stroke but don't know when. Glad
to go home!!!
(We chose not to have the MRI… it would be
for informational purposes only. They
would not change any treatment options.
She can’t sit still for 30 minutes.
The sound and tunnel-like appearance would probably scare her. It is unnecessary just to satisfy the
doctor’s curiosity.)
March 31, 2012:
My little mama is all tuckered out. We took
her to Ringgold to see her friends at Clayborn's...and then to Log Cabin for
lunch. She said, "Thank you for taking me! I really enjoyed it!" It
has been a great day!
